Hello, Summer 2017!

Posted on 15 May, 2017 at 15:45 Comments comments (52164)

Is it really the second week of May already?  The weeks have been absolutely FLYING by.  We are gearing up for a crazy busy summer season, and it's all thanks to you!  Yes, you!  Do you know how little we spend on advertising?  (Hint:  Do you ever see us on the side of a bus?)  That's because we firmly believe in word of mouth and we do whatever we can to keep up to our clients' (and our own!) high standards!  We are so grateful to all of our clients for their continued trust and support as we dive into our third Summer season!

Also!  We are SO excited to announce that we are now BBB Accredited, so stay tuned!  We are currently working with Bureau agents and will have all the logos and links to our company in their directory.

We have lots of project photos to upload in the next little while, including another full exterior update, so check back here and on our Facebook page to see what we've done so far this year!

Updates for 2016

Wow, this year has been an adventure already!

I'll take this moment now to apologize for the lack of updates; I'm still transitioning into being a work-at-home mom of two!

Seriously, who can do work when there's this much cuteness around?

(This may or may not have been posted to distract you from my failure at digital marketing...)

Anyway, we've been working hard to offer our clients even more than we did in 2015.  Jon has recently completed programs to become a certified installer of both IKO and Velux products, meaning his skills and reputation meet these manufacturers' high standards.

Now, as an IKO ShieldPRO Plus+ Certified Contractor, we are able to provide your home with an extended manufacturer's warranty, as well as our own 10 Year Workmanship Warranty.  Are you excited?  We are.

I'm buckling down and doing my best to keep the website and our Facebook page updated, so keep an eye out for more news and pictures!

P.S.   Please rate us and leave a review on Facebook; we love hearing from you!

5 Signs You Need Your Roof Inspected This Spring

Posted on 10 March, 2015 at 14:55 Comments comments (2620)

Was anyone else super excited about yesterday’s weather? The sunshine was absolutely glorious, and was, what? 5˚c in the afternoon?

With the warmer weather well on its way, it’s a perfect time to step out and take a good look at your roof, even if it’s “not that old”. We’ve comprised a list of 5 things to look for to determine whether or not to have a professional inspect your roof this spring.

1. Major/Minor Leaks

Not all leaks drip dramatically through the ceiling into a bucket on your kitchen table. It’s usually a good idea to have a look in your attic space for any dampness that could lead to mold or rot.

2. Ice Buildups

Large dams of ice on your roof are sure sign that something is wrong. Ice is almost always caused by heat loss through your attic space due to poor insulation.

3. Curling or Cracking Shingles

Shingles that are cracked or curling at the corners are an indication that your roof’s life is coming to an end. If your shingles are in poor shape and your roof is “not that old”, this may be caused by inadequate ventilation in your attic space.

4. Missing shingles

Blow-offs need to be replaced immediately and a detailed inspection of your roof needs to be completed to determine exactly why your house is going bald.

5. Sagging Roof Deck

Whether it’s a single dip in an otherwise flat side, or your roof looks like a rippled potato chip, you need to get someone up there to check the structural integrity of both the roof deck and the joists.

We hope you found this list useful and, if your roof has any of these symptoms, you don’t hesitate to call us or shoot us an email. All of our inspections and estimates are free of charge, and we conduct emergency repairs 7 days a week.

Happy Spring!
